Rebecca <3 Andreas 090523

What a beautiful new little family!

Me and Markku drove to Stockholm, listening to Robert Langdon, this past weekend to celebrate with Becca and Andreas. What a wedding! Löv was in the air for sure! We arrived at Pertti (Markku's brother) and Magda's house late on friday night. Thank you for housing us! On saturday morning we went to the temple to see them be sealed as husband and wife for all eternity!! It was soooo nice! While we were sitting in there my thoughts went to when we, 2 months ago, entered the same covenant. I'm so thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ that makes it possible for families to be together forever. I love Markku! After the wedding we practices some music that would be sung later at the reception. We also went for a little walk to find food, we found a pizza place and shared a wonderful Hawaii pizza :) Time it was to head towards Södertälje for the reception. Arriving at the place... WOW! And the party that followed!! The bride and groom arrived in a horse carriage, impressive, any girls dream ;) Great food and lots of fun entertainment!

THANK YOU newlyweds for letting us share your special day with you!

Sunday at church we got to see lots of our friends. After church we had a BBQ picnic with Magda & Pertti out by the water, the sun was hot and we soaked it up. When it was time to drive home, we really didn't want to go... Bye bye Sthlm.. We spent most of the time talking about life and in Jönköping we stopped for a little break and watched a beautiful sunset together! Being married is the best thing ever, congratulations on making such a great choice Mr. and Mrs. Birgersson!

Becca's bachelorette party!

Little Linda took the car and drove off to Göteborg on saturday May 2nd, leaving her husband in Lund to go and have fun with the girls. And did we have fun?! It was a very nice weekend that I really needed. We had a BBQ and enjoyed fun stuff.

Although I had a hard time sleeping alone, it was my first night to sleep without Markku since we got married, I managed to get some sleep at Eva and Sebbe's place. Thank you girls for the nice weekend!

Sunday I spent at home with my family in Gbg. Too bad Markku wasn't with me, it would have made the whole weekend. The drive home was long and quite lonely, but I spent some time blabbering away on the phone with Evi so that was fun :)

All together, it is always special to spend time with friends and family!

Nurse Linda

Thursday at work was a rather sad day.. It was the firts time any of my patients didn't make it past breakfast, it was 9.30 when she left this earth. She was a handicapped "rather young" woman in her 60's (although she was like a child). After the death I was standing in there watching her loved ones say goodbye as I looked at my patient. It looked like she was sleeping but you could feel that her spririt wasn't in there anymore. I had the feeling she had moved on and was with her Heavenly Father now, well and loved. It's "funny" how the gospel of Jesus Christ and the beliefs I've grown up with make sense in moments like that. After a little moment of realizing what had just happened and looking at her brother, I had to leave the room. As soon as I got outside, tears rolled down my face and I had to take a break. Another nurse and my boss came and hugged me. After a few hours, and when they had taken her away, I figured I was going to be ok. I will never forget her though... One day I hope to see her again, may she rest in peace.

Movienight!!

Tonight we had a few friends over for food and a movie.. more exact taco pie and "The Changeling". The movie was worth seeing, very sad story but Angelina did a good job acting I must say. It was a fun evening and we enjoyed seeing some friends in between all hour working hours :) Which reminds me that I should probably go to bed since I start work in 7 hours and 9 minutes..
Well good night,
Linda

We are still alive!

Might be time to give another update of our life in Lund.. We have been working a lot and being sick back and forth. We're healthy for now..

Linda has had Calicivirus at her work the last few weeks and cought the stomache flu from that, blah! Thank goodness that is over with. The ward is still isolated but we are hoping to open up soon so we don't have to wear gloves, aprons and facemasks just entering the patients rooms. It gets hot with that body suit on hahaha..

Markku is doing really well with his business and we are so happy for him! He has really built something wonderful. His clients have fun around him, can't blame them! The mononucleosis has left his body, hopefully! He's not dead sick anymore so that's nice!!

Spring has hit Lund.. it's getting warmer and the flowers and trees are beautiful. We have had a few picnics in the park already and hope for loads more!! The summer feeling is in the air and we hope to have some hot nice days off from work soon. We do miss Tenerife! We are planning a trip to Cyprus hopefully in the end of aug, beginning of sept. Linda has a week and some off from work then so it will be a well needed vaccation after a summers labor at the hospital.

Maybe we should write some fun stuff here too.. and post pictures..?

To be continued......
