A little update...
March has been a really busy month for us. I managed to start a new job as a nurse at the hospital that I really like. Markku has been sick and very tired of being sick. He hasn't been able to work very much and has needed to take it easy, in the middle of weddingplans and everything. We spent the eve of March 19th in the emergency room. Markku was diagnosed with mononucleosis (körtelfeber) and was instructed to be very careful and just rest so he wouldn't die.. Ok maybe not die but get really really sick! We were also told that maybe we should take it easy with the kissing and being close so I wouldn't be infected, ths because mono also goes under the name of kissing disease. "Great news.. Oh man! Perfect timing.. NOT!!"
We told the doctor that we were getting married tomorrow and that we had a trip booked to Tenerife on sunday morning. The doctor looked very worried. He advised us to stay at home cuz it wouldn't be fun to spend a week sick in bed on our vaccation. We got some pills and stuff and went home, worried. Markku and I both got a blessing that night. And.. yes, the priesthood works!
It was a miracle! We got married!! Markku was still sick but a little better at least. He survived the wedding ceremonies and the party! I'm so proud of him. On sunday morning we left for our honeymoon. One week of kissing (man did we listen to the doctor or what?! I didn't get sick though, phew!), cuddling, swimming, tanning, wet suits, snorkeling, zoo, waterpark, rental car, shopping, dophin/whale boat expedition and of course eachothers company! Tenerife was really nice and I think the heat did Markku well.
Now that we're back home agin Markku and I are both back to work. It feels nice to not live in a bubble anymore and wake up next to him in our home! Married life is the best!!
We'd like to thank everyone who helped out in one way or another to make our special day extraordinary! Thank you so much for all the wonderful wedding gifts! We had so much fun and we truly love all our friends and family!

So sad to hear about your husband being sick. Especially right before your wedding. What a BUMMER. Glad to hear your confirmation of the power of the priesthood. It truly does work. Happy that you were able to go on your Honeymoon too. My Chris had pneumonia on our honeymoon. It was NOT fun! But we made up for it over the years. :-) We try and get away together at least once a year. Even if it's for a long weekend. Married life really is the best. It's fun to "play house" and get to know each other better each day. Good Luck to both of you. We look forward to meeting Markku someday. If you ever get to take a trip to New York, please stop by and visit us. You're MORE than welcome to stay at our house while you sightsee or whatever. Take Care. Love the blog.
